begins a dialog where pet parents feel comfortable asking

treat you like family and your pets as our own". Voted Best of

thriving veterinary practice of thirteen years is fortunate to have
a loyal client base from the surrounding affluent neighborhoods in
the West Cobb area. Our 11,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility
houses a 5,000 sq. ft. full-care hospital located on our upper
level, a 5,000 sq. ft. Pet Resort located on our lower level, and

Job Description Job duties include, but are not limited to: Each
pet has their own room or suite for down-time, but will participate
in a Group-Play environment during the day as well, as long as they
have passed our temperament test for Group-Play. For our Hotel pets
who do not enjoy group play, they get one-on-one time with a kennel
assistant dependent on their needs and/or requirements. The
cleaning will entail keeping the individual pet's rooms/suites
clean, but also the yards and wards clean/sterile in general.
Duties include but are not limited to vacuuming, moping, doing
laundry, feeding and medicating pets that are boarding. Our
Group-Play environment is based off of the Dog-Gurus series called
"Knowing Dogs 101 & 201." Knowing Dogs 101 is about Dog Language
and Knowing Dogs 201 is about Group Play. We do require all of our
staff to watch this series of 16 videos (that are about 20-25
minutes each) and pass the quizzes that go along with each lesson,
this way our entire staff are all on the same page concerning dog
behavior (from the doctors and receptionists to the kennel staff).
We also have individual cat suites and a separate cat Play-Room,
however cats will be rotated through their Play-Room individually,
since cats are not so fond of a Group-Play environment (except for
those that are boarding with a sibling), therefore we need our
kennel assistants to also be comfortable handling kitties. Most
importantly, we are looking for passionate individuals who enjoy
not only the time with the pets, but interacting with the pet
owners as well. Qualifications We are looking for someone with:
Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting methods. Proper methods of
animal restraint. Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment
with skill and efficiency. - Perform moderately heavy physical
labor (large dogs, bags of litter, pet foods, etc). Ability -to
sympathetically and patiently attend to sick, scared and injured
animals. - Ability to learn to administer medications and to
recognize abnormal conditions. Understand and carry out oral and
written directions. Maintain cooperative relationships with those
contacted in the course of the job. - Practice Highlights: -A
family-oriented practice with a focus on stress-free pet careit's
about - QUALITY -not quantity. An incredible team of highly-skilled
tech staff to provide valuable leverage for our doctors to focus on
the practice of medicine. Protocols created from experience to
streamline the process of pet care. Full Pharmacy with Compounding
Capabilities An understanding of the importance of "quality of
life" for our staff, their health, and their families. A positive
and fun (sometimes crazy) staff. Additional Information
