Our enterprise client located in north Atlanta is actively looking for an AWS Systems Engineer for a Contract-to-Hire opportunity! Candidates MUST be located in the metro Atlanta area as this is a HYBRID role 2 days/week in office.

AWS Systems Engineer
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, and optimized using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
Design and Deployment: Design AWS cloud architectures that consider scalability, redundancy, and high availability, select appropriate AWS services, and deploy cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements.
Resource Provisioning: Provision and manage AWS cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage, databases, and networking components using Infrastructure as Code.
Security and Compliance: Implement and monitor AWS security best practices, access controls, and compliance measures, adhering to standards such as SOC 2 to protect data and systems in the cloud.

Expertise required:

• At least 5-7 years of hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure and services.
• Proficiency in AWS and a deep understanding of their console and services.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Azure DevOps.
• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and task optimization.
• A good understanding of cloud networking, security practices, and identity and access management (IAM).
