Surgical First Assistant Location: Atlanta, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,668 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 15 Weeks Start Date: 7/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 15 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 06:30 - 19:00 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, and Thoracic surgery License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, CSFA (NBSTSA or NCCSA also accepted) Must-Have: Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, and Thoracic experience Description: Position requires privileging process prior to start. Candidate must complete the privileging process before beginning work, which takes approximately 120 days. Scheduling includes days only. Weekend work is required only during call. Call is assigned one day a week and one weekend every four weeks, subject to change based on departmental needs. Floating within the facility/scope of practice and to Main OR may be required. Candidates will be clinically screened to determine fit for the position. If candidates pass the clinical review and meet guidelines, they will proceed to a final decision from the manager. Maximum allowable request time off (RTO) is 7 days. No holiday RTO is accepted. Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant, there will be a two-week delay due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Travelers are expected to be available to work on major holidays and may not request time off during these periods. Mandatory pre-application fee required for candidates seeking this position. Candidates must submit core items and complete necessary steps within 48 hours of signing the contract. Local candidates are accepted.
