per Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM Experience: Less than 1 year of direct
patient care experience preferred License: RN License (Single State
or Multi-state Compact) Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS),
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale
(NIHSS) Must-Have: Experience in administering Heparin IV
Description: The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an
interdisciplinary team responsible for ensuring that patients and
families receive high-quality, safe patient care. They practice in
a clinical environment supported by Nurse Managers and other
leaders under a shared governance model. The framework for practice
is guided by a professional practice model and evidence-based
practices. RN competencies are derived from these models and
supported by core values. All RN Clinical Nurses must be licensed,
knowledgeable, and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by
the Professional Nurse Practice Act. They implement the Scope of
Practice and Code of Ethics Standards as defined by professional
nursing associations. As a member of the patient services team,
they are expected to advocate for the voice of the patient while
adhering to system policies and procedures. Core responsibilities
include utilizing the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis,
planning, implementation, and evaluation) based on evidence-based
practices. They deliver relationship-based patient-centered care
while considering population-specific characteristics.
Collaboration with patients and significant others is essential,
employing effective communication methods and involving them in
care plans. They must demonstrate teamwork by delivering safe,
quality patient care and engaging in respectful, inclusive
communication methods. Professional development is key; therefore,
completion of mandatory education and competency assessments is
required. Participation in performance improvement initiatives,
research, and shared governance is expected. The RN Clinical Nurse
should promote evidence-based practice and utilize resources to
enhance patient care. They proactively plan for patient care and
may participate in developing protocols and procedures to achieve
best practice outcomes. Compliance with all organizational policies
and clinical competencies is necessary, including legal and
regulatory standards. They will perform other duties as assigned to
further support patient care and the healthcare team. Requirements
