Job Description MedCadre is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Macon, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/14/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Title: RN Medical Surgical Locations: Macon, GA 31217 Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:45 - 19:15) Traveler Weekly Blended Pay : $1794/Week ($17/hr on W2 Stipend: $1182) Locals Hourly Pay : $42/Hour Start Date: 07/14/2025 Job Type: 13-week Contract Position Summary: - MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year - Unit accepts first time travelers - WEEKEND: Every Other - FLOATING: Within facility/scope of practice and to Piedmont Macon North Hospital as needed Key Responsibilities: - Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals. - Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients. - Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications. - Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs. - Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements. - Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner. - Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team. - Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care. - Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records. - Adhering to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols.
