Type: Local Contract Overview: The client is seeking a dedicated
and skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our
dynamic Operating Room team. In this vital role, you will assist in
surgical procedures by ensuring a sterile environment, preparing
instruments, and supporting the surgical team throughout
operations. We are looking for a team player who thrives in a
fast-paced clinical setting and is committed to patient safety and
service excellence. Reports To: OR Nurse Manager or Clinical
Supervisor Key Responsibilities: - Prepare the operating room by
setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes. -
Assist surgeons and other team members during procedures by passing
instruments and supplies. - Maintain the sterile field and monitor
for breaks in aseptic technique. - Count instruments, sponges, and
supplies before and after procedures according to policy. - Handle
specimens properly and ensure accurate labeling. - Assist with room
turnover, cleaning, and prepping for the next case. - Participate
in performance improvement initiatives and adhere to infection
control protocols. - Communicate effectively with surgical team
members to ensure safe and efficient patient care. - Uphold all
hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
requirements. Qualifications: Education: - Graduate of an
accredited Surgical Technology program. Certification: - Certified
Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA required. - Basic Life
Support (BLS) certification required. Experience: - Prior
experience in an acute care hospital or operating room preferred,
but new graduates are encouraged to apply. Skills & Abilities: -
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and OR
protocols. - Excellent communication, attention to detail, and
problem-solving skills. - Ability to remain calm and efficient in
high-pressure situations. - Works well independently and as part of
