Position Summary
The Assistant Director plays a vital role within Accessibility and
Testing, reporting to the Associate Director for Accommodations.
This position is responsible for coordinating and administering
academic support services for students with disabilities, working
closely with faculty, staff, and students to ensure the effective
implementation of accommodations. The Assistant Director supervises
two Senior Accommodations Coordinators, providing direction and
expertise on complex accommodation matters. Additionally, this role
serves as the primary resource for faculty and staff, offering
guidance on accommodations related to complex psychological
conditions. The Assistant Director also acts as the primary
negotiator between students and faculty for accommodations
requiring flexibility with attendance and participation, ensuring
equitable access while maintaining academic standards.
