Job Title: Engineer Location: Jonesboro, Georgia Type: Contract Compensation: $36.00 hourly Contractor Work Model: Onsite System One is currently seeking an Engineer on a 2 year contract position located in Jonesboro, GA. Engineer Responsibilities: Responsible for applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power related systems. Supports estimate preparation, develops design options, and prepares construction specifications. Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages. Create a safe work environment by putting safety first. Understand the process used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance. Understand the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance. Understand design practices and work processes, using all software applications used in design. Understand industry and Company design standards. Support design standard and criteria development for the system. Support construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations. Estimate material for projects, transmitting construction packages and supporting specifications. Engineer Requirements: 0-5 years of related experience An accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering Introductory engineering knowledge Basic problem-solving skills Limited discretion making independent decisions based on procedure and review with supervisor Basic discipline software knowledge Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors.
