Description Organizational Overview: KIPP Atlanta Schools is
part of the KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program) national network of
free, open enrollment, college preparatory schools dedicated to
ensuring that every child grows up free to create the future they
want for themselves and their communities. There are 280 KIPP
schools in 21 states and the District of Columbia serving more than
175,000 scholars and alumni. KIPP Atlanta currently operates 11
schools including five primary schools, six middle schools and one
high school, as well as KIPP Forward which supports scholars on

more just and equitable world for our scholars. Job Summary: The
Family Liaison will help build relationships with KIPP families
(current and prospective) and communities. The Family Liaison is
responsible for liaising between school leaders, parents, and the
school’s surrounding community. He/she will assist with special
events and community outreach activities that build sound parent
partnerships, increase scholar enrollment, and encourage family
loyalty. The Family Liaison reports directly to the campus Director
of Operations, and is supported by the Regional Director of Family
Engagement and Partnerships. Job Responsibilities: Family
Engagement 50% Develop a strong working relationship with each
assigned school leader and be available to provide him/her with any
necessary support in their efforts to collaborate effectively with
KIPP family and faculty Manage and conduct outreach to KIPP Atlanta
Schools’ families regarding opportunities for involvement Serve as
a school contact for parent leaders, providing support and
organizing assistance Develop relationships with parents to enhance
volunteerism and encourage a collaborative school community Assist
in facilitating parent-teacher collaboration efforts Manage
school-to-home communications, including newsletters, updates, and
event announcements, as directed by the school leader Collect
ongoing feedback from families to share with KIPP Atlanta Schools
and staff to improve engagement best practices Support parent
leaders in recruiting and mobilizing parents for school-based
initiatives Coordinate parent involvement events Manage the school
Title 1 parent engagement compliance requirements Serve as an
active member of the KIPP Family Network in each assigned school
campus All other duties pertaining to parent involvement, as
designated by the school leader Community Outreach 25% Manage and
conduct outreach to prospective KIPP Atlanta Schools’ families
regarding opportunities for involvement Help parents organize
reactively and proactively to community issues that impact the
school Develop resources to keep community members informed of KIPP
Atlanta Schools’ happenings Assess and identify the needs of each
school community and establish partnerships with 2-3 organizations
in which the school is located Advocacy 25% Assist the Impact Team
with creating a network of parent leaders who are active in their
communities Serves as a point of contact for school-related
advocacy events Advocate for and positively represent KIPP, its
core values,and school culture in all venues Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant
experience. Demonstrated experience engaging and mobilizing
families or community members. Strong organizational and project
management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication
skills. Ability to build trust and relationships across diverse
stakeholder groups. Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving
skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced
school environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
(Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Commitment to the mission and
vision of KIPP Atlanta Schools. High level of professionalism,
initiative, and cultural responsiveness. Preferred: Experience
working in a school or nonprofit setting. Experience with Title I
family engagement compliance requirements. Bilingual proficiency
(Spanish preferred in applicable communities). Experience
organizing community events or advocacy initiatives. Compensation &
Benefits: Compensation is competitive and aligned with KIPP Atlanta
Schools’ leadership salary bands. The salary range for this role is
$55,000- $80,000 and is based on experience, qualifications, and
internal equity. Most new hires are placed in the lower to
mid-range of the salary range. Placement near the top of the range
is uncommon at hire and reserved for individuals who exceed role
qualifications through depth of expertise, leadership maturity, and
proven results leading complex initiatives with sustained,
organization-level impact. A comprehensive benefits package is

Work Conditions: This position requires: This role requires
schedule flexibility; work hours vary based on campus needs and may
include evenings and occasional weekends. This position has hybrid
flexibility but does require regular presence on campus and in
schools and in required meetings around the region; Must be based
in Atlanta This position requires routine physical activity
associated with normal office environments. This position may
require the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25
pounds. Ability to engage in school-based activities requiring
