JOB TITLE: Benefits Investigation Rep PAY RATE: $20.00/hour LOCATION: 100% Remote Training and Work Schedule: Mandatory virtual training: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST Full-time schedule post-training: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST 100% attendance during training is required; no pre-planned appointments or time off accepted during this period. Position Overview: Manage the entire care process with a sense of urgency from benefit investigation and verification to medication delivery, ensuring an exceptional patient experience Conduct benefit verifications and collaborate with various healthcare providers, including physicians, specialty pharmacies, and insurance companies, to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and timely access to necessary services Assist in obtaining insurance, prior authorization, and appeal requirements and outcomes Help patients understand their insurance plan coverage, including out-of-pocket costs, and provide guidance on the appeals process if needed Resolve patient's questions and any representative for the patient’s concerns regarding status of their request for assistance Demonstrate expertise in payer landscapes and insurance processes. Remain knowledgeable about long and short-range changes in the reimbursement environment including Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Commercial medical and pharmacy plans while planning for various scenarios that may impact prescribed products Process enrollments via fax, phone, and electronically as needed Scrutinize forms and supporting documentation thoroughly for any missing information or new information to be added to the database Support inbound phone quue from patients, healthcare provider offices, SPs, and customers, striving for one-call resolution Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred Prior customer service or call center experience is a plus Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer practices preferred Proficient with standard and proprietary software systems Ability to multitask and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment Expectations: Apply job knowledge and company guidelines to complete routine tasks Handle standard work independently with general supervision Consult peers or supervisors for complex or unusual issues Maintain a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and service quality Remote Work Requirements: Full-time, remote position Must have a quiet, private, and distraction-free environment Reliable high-speed internet is required (you must provide): Download speed: 15 Mbps minimum Upload speed: 5 Mbps minimum Ping rate: Max 30ms Connection: Hardwired to router (WiFi, satellite, cellular not acceptable) Surge protector: Required for company-issued equipment Computer, technology, and necessary equipment will be provided.
