Key Responsibilities of an Accounting Associate: Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment in accordance with payment terms. Process invoices, check requests, and travel and expense reports. Update and maintain the vendor database to ensure proper 1099 filing and accuracy. The Accounting Associate will reconcile, research, and correct vendor statement discrepancies. Maintain thorough and accurate electronic financial documentation in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting principles. Assist senior team members and leadership with accounting tasks as needed. Qualifications of an Accounting Associate: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (new graduates are encouraged to apply!). 0-1 year of work experience as an Accounting Associate or in a similar accounting role. Strong problem-solving skills, a basic understanding of accounting principles, and excellent research abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including V-lookups and Pivot Tables. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
